The Inspiration Behind-the-Themes: "Here's to Your Healthiest Happiest YOU!"

Celebrating a Year of Themes, Chris-isms, "Whys"... and the "Why" That Drives It All

Let's Go, Year One! One year ago, I sent a newsletter, short(ish), bright, and full of positivity, into the world with one simple hope, that it might help even one person feel a little better, one step toward my 'why' of Empowering People to Feel Their Best. A year and twelve issues later, I wanted to take you on a quick, behind-the-scenes highlights reel: every theme, every Chris-ism, and the "why" behind each one.

Late Summer and Fall 2025: Debut and Finding Our Footing

The Debut! Theme: "Hi, I'm Chris. Welcome to My Monthly Newsletter!" (August 2025)

Launched at the tail end of National Wellness Month with pure awe for the amazing human body. Chris-ism: "The Human Body is the Most Amazing Technological Marvel Ever!" It's working 24/7 on our behalf. No days off. No vacations. And yet we kick its butt daily, skimping on sleep, eating poorly, moving less than we'd like, letting the "Stress Monster" run the show. The good news? It just needs a little support, and it can start righting the ship fast.

A Powerful Fall Reset. Theme: "Here's to a Powerful Fall Reset!" (September 2025)

Summer had gotten a little loose, a little indulgent (life happens!), and it was time to reset with intention, not restriction. Chris-ism: "Progress vs. Perfection." Because chasing perfect was never the goal, and honestly, it never will be. Showing up, imperfectly and consistently, is the whole game.

Taming the Monster. Theme: "Taming the Stress Monster!" (October 2025)

As the holidays crept closer and life's energy cranked up, this was about calling out the "Stress Monster" by name before it could hijack the season. Chris-ism: "YOU are the CEO of YOU!" Because no one (not your spouse, your friends, your practitioners) knows you like YOU, and you're running this healthy lifestyle show—not your inbox, not your to-do list, not everyone else's expectations—to ensure you make decisions that make sense for YOU.

Late Fall and Winter: Gratitude and New Beginnings

Giving Thanks, Fully. Theme: "Happy Healthy Thanksgiving!" (November 2025)

Full plates, full hearts, zero guilt. This one leaned all the way into the indulgent season, family, gratitude, and gravy, while introducing the Power Pivot, learning to redirect that powerful mind of yours with self-love for progress and growth, instead of white-knuckling through the chaos.

No Deprivation Zone Engaged! Theme: "The Healthy Happy Holiday Issue!" (December 2025)

Holiday treats, handled. Chris-ism: "More 'Good Guys' vs. 'Bad Guys'." Because deprivation was never the plan, balance was. Here's to crowding out the "Bad Guys" with more "Good Guys" to support your healthiest happiest holiday YOU. And ensure you arrive in January still standing and energized vs. depleted.

Motivation Meets Reality. Theme: "New Year. New YOU!" (January 2026)

Fresh motivation meets a real reality check, because resolutions die fast without a method behind them. This is where "Think Big. Start Small. Feel Better!" comes in—it's all about vision, behavior, results and it's truly the North Star of my program and behavior change in support of healthy lifestyle.

Be YOUR Valentine. Theme: "To YOU! With Love." (February 2026)

Forget those nutrient-rich dark chocolates for just a second, this issue was about loving yourself first. Chris-ism: "Take YOUR Power Back!" Be your own best Valentine, no card required. The power lies within YOU.

Spring: Momentum Builds

Hope in Bloom. Theme: "Spring Forward!" (March 2026)

Spring's energy is contagious, hope, opportunity, a fresh start practically demanding to be seized. Chris-ism: "The Empowering Power of Healthy Lifestyle!" Spring cleaning for your habits, not just your closet. Here's to making one small change today, which can ignite positive momentum toward your healthiest, happiest, most powerful version of amazing YOU!

Small Steps, Big Wins. Theme: "The Power of Consistency!" (April 2026)

Consistency over perfection, again, because it bears repeating, navigating life's ups and downs powerfully instead of waiting for some mythical "perfect" moment to begin. Chris-ism: "Any Movement Counts, Just. Move. More." Small, repeated actions beat sporadic, heroic effort. Every. Single. Time.

Late Spring and Summer: Feeling Good, Looking Good, Showing Up

Building Your Foundation. Theme: "Your Strongest Summer Starts Now!" (May 2026)

Anticipatory, celebratory summer energy (including my FamJam beach volleyball-infused birthday!) met real talk about building actual structural strength—your bones, your foundation. Chris-ism: "Feeling Good is YOUR Best Accessory." Because when you feel your best, you look your best. No other accessories required!

The Longest Day, The Longest Issue. Theme: "Hello Summer, Hello Powerful YOU!" (June 2026)

The longest day of the year deserved the longest issue we'd ever sent, important tips on summer hydration, and a little extra love for the dads out there on Father's Day. Chris-ism: "Feel Good = Look Good." Simple. True. Non-negotiable.

The Power of the Pause. Theme: "Embrace Mid-Summer Magic!" (July 2026)

Leisurely July energy, the kind you savor before back-to-school, back-to-traffic, back-to-everything comes roaring in. Chris-ism: "You Can't Be in Offense if You're Always in Defense." This one reflecting on the Power of the Pause launched the brand onto LinkedIn and sparked a conversation I genuinely never saw coming.

Which Brings Us to Now

A Year of Chris-isms. Twelve issues. Twelve themes, each one chosen with real intention, never random, always tied to the season, the energy, and exactly what you—we—needed to hear right then. And twelve Chris-isms highlighted from those themes, reflecting small pieces of one bigger philosophy: that healthy living should feel energizing, not mojo-sapping. Empowering, not restrictive. Healthy living should feel good.

Aging Powerfully, By the Numbers. This August, we arrive at the Chris-ism, "Here's to Aging Powerfully℠," a phrase I've been saving, waiting for exactly the right moment. That moment is now, and I have real proof it's working: my Oura Ring has clocked my cardiovascular age at 13 years younger, then 13.5 years younger, and even 14 years younger than my actual age since mid-July—three milestones not previously seen in over 4 1/2 years with this amazing wearable—in just a few weeks. Turns out, revisiting your 40s is possible. And my CVA trend data proves it. My hypothesis? Truly honoring rest and recovery—as well as my other consistent lifestyle practices including strategic movement—made the difference.

Here's to Year One, Year Two... and Year YOU! Just as we did in Year One, here's to continuing to embrace each month going forward as an opportunity to live our healthiest, happiest, most powerful expression of ourselves. Here's to every theme, every Chris-ism, and every one of you who showed up for them. And here's to living—and celebrating—happy, healthy, "Progress vs. Perfection℠"-inspired lives, and Aging Powerfully℠, one small, consistent step at a time.

Let's Go, Year Two!
