Startling Stats.
The Empowering Power of Healthy Lifestyle.
Hope and Optimism for YOU!

Spring is in the Air! With it comes something I absolutely love: that unmistakable feeling of possibility. Hope is one of my greatest personal character strengths, and I lean into it fully this time of year. New growth. A spirited sense of optimism and anticipation. And overall a season of fresh starts (I see you, Spring Cleaning!) when the days are longer, life feels happier, and something powerful stirs within to embrace a beautiful new season. There is a reason people have celebrated spring as the season of renewal for thousands of years.
Channeling Spring Energy for YOU! In honor of this year's March 20th Spring Equinox, I want to channel all of that energy into something that truly matters — YOU. Your health. Your vitality. Your power. It's all about optimizing how you feel. When you feel good, the world is definitely a rosier place. When you feel good, you show up more powerfully for all that matters in this beautiful life. When you feel good, you feel more optimistic and hopeful and ready to take on even small changes to support a healthier, happier, more vitality-infused, feel-good YOU!
Startling Stats. I love to look at things from the 30,000 foot view perspective to frame them up. Here are a few numbers I can't stop thinking about. I share them not to scare you, but to wake us all up in taking our power back. Why? Because they are impacting how the majority of us feel every day.
Three in four American adults (close to 200 million!) are living with at least one chronic condition — and among those 65 and older, that number surpasses 90%. Even more sobering? Among adults just 18–34, 60% have at least one chronic condition.
The CDC defines chronic diseases broadly as conditions that last 1 year or more, requiring ongoing medical attention, limiting activities of daily living, or both. These conditions, such as heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, are generally not cured by medication or prevented by vaccines, and are often caused by tobacco use, poor nutrition, physical inactivity, or excessive alcohol.
One in two Americans has prediabetes or diabetes, most (when it comes to prediabetes) without even knowing it.
And as a nation, we spend $4.9 trillion on healthcare every year, with a jaw-dropping 90% of that going toward treating chronic disease and mental health conditions — much of it directly tied to diet and lifestyle. (Source: CDC)
A Truth That Changes Everything: The #1 Driver of Chronic Disease in America is Lifestyle. Which Means the #1 Solution is, Too.
Just as Mother Nature and the world outside is bursting back to life with fresh starts, there's also a beautiful opportunity for us all to take a fresh look at our lifestyle practices. As Carl Bard said, "Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending." Talk about perfect timing for this conversation!
Healthy lifestyle isn't a punishment or a prescriptive "magic pill". It's an acknowledgement of the amazing human body's capability to perform at its best when we support it with simple (didn't say "easy"!) things like consistent, quality sleep, exercise and movement, good nutrition (the "Big Kahuna"--see my "Healthy Eating-Happy YOU!" Power Principles sm), stress management practices, and supportive relationships and community. For those who value health as performance, leadership, and longevity, the beautiful opportunity we all have to feel our best with even small, positive, consistent shifts in healthy lifestyle have been here all along, ready to help you rewrite your story the moment you say yes to it. How perfectly, beautifully, "on brand" for Spring of it!
So here we are — the first days of spring upon us, the season nature herself dedicates to starting fresh — and I want to ask you: What if this is your moment? What if this is the Spring you decide to stop waiting, stop putting yourself last, and take your health into your own hands?
It is TIME. Take YOUR Power Back!
You don't need a dramatic overhaul. You don't need to be perfect. It's about Progress vs. Perfection. You have the opportunity to Think Big. Start Small. Feel Better! — and let one good choice lead to the next. That's how transformation actually works. That's how the statistics start to shift — one person, one lifestyle, one empowered decision at a time.
Here's to springing forward together. Into better energy. Better habits. A better, brighter, healthier YOU. You've got this. And I'm here to support you on your journey.
Here's to Your Healthiest Happiest YOU! ☀️
